Join Julie Deffense of Julie Deffense Artistry at USF Culinary Innovation Lab's beautiful facilities in Lakewood Ranch, FL for a two-day course and learn how to make her beautiful Venetian Carnaval cake, originally featured in 2013 in Portugal's most popular cake design magazine, Faça Fácil Cake Design.

From the basics to the intricate details, during this course you will learn multiple techniques using gum paste, fondant and royal icing, as well as handpainting your cake.

Course will be from 10am to 6pm, Saturday January 13th and Sunday January 14th. Casual coffee breaks will be served (included) during the day. Class will break for lunch and students are welcome to bring their lunch or go out (there are a variety of restaurants and cafes on Main St.).

Upon completion of project, students will receive a certificate from Julie Deffense Artistry.

Places are limited to 15 and tickets based on availability. Tickets are per person and are $600 + tax.
